Fresno to auction off quilt at banquet

A commemorative quilt made by Helen Moody will be auctioned off at the Fresno Alumni Banquet on June 8. The quilt is 100 percent cotton, queen-sized, and appliqued with letters the same as on Fresno School, ‘White Eyes Rural School’. It also features the opening date and closing date of the school and has a background baseball print on the back in honor of all baseball players that played at Fresno.
FRESNO – Fresno Alumni Banquet will be on Saturday, June 8 at Ridgewood High School located at 602 Johnson St. at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Honored classes will be 70th year, 1943, and 60th year, 1953. Seniors that were awarded the Fresno scholarship will be introduced. Dinner will be served by the Fresno Presbyterian Church. Price of meal is $13.
Forms were sent out the first week of May to all honored classes and anyone who has attended a banquet in the last five years. Anyone who attended Fresno school is welcome. Notify Ruth Marquand at 1649 Pleasant Valley Drive, Coshocton or call her at 623-0450. Scholarship donations may be sent along with RSVP if desired.
