M2 Drive Thru moves to new location

| January 14, 2019

COSHOCTON – A little more than two years ago, Terry Darr went home on his lunch break and made a proposal to his wife, Danyelle, to buy M2 Drive Thru.  They had been talking about having a business of their own. In early January, 2017, they bought the business.

Because the building the drive thru was in was leased, they hoped to be able to purchase another building and recently bought the former Covic Connection location at 615 S. Seventh St., just a short distance from where the business was.

“The new building is a lot newer and brighter than the other one,” said Danyelle.  “We wanted something that would stand out.  And this building has easier access for our customers. They can pull in off of Seventh Street and then exit through the alley. The other building, they had to exit onto Seventh right by a busy intersection and it was hard to get out sometimes.”

She also said another reason they wanted a bigger building was that they are planning to open a pizza and sub shop soon. “You will be able to drive through and get your lunch or dinner,” said Danyelle. “People have been excited about the pizza and sub shop.” She said menus will be available and that people are encouraged to follow their Facebook page for updates about when the shop will be open.

“This drive-thru is bigger, too. We carry bread, milk and toilet paper, now, along with snacks and pastries. As soon as we finished renovating our office, we are going to have hot coffee, too, so customers can stop here on their way to work for their coffee. We wanted to add bread and milk because we’ve heard lots of people say they don’t want to have to get their kids out of the car and run in the store for a gallon of milk. Now, they won’t have to.”

Danyelle said her biggest challenge with owning the business is juggling her full time job at AK Steel with the business. “I’m so blessed, though. We’ve had so much help. My best friend, Wendy Croy, has been amazing – she helps with the bookkeeping and payroll. We’ve learned so much.”

“We want a place where people get great service and are happy they stopped.”

The drive thru is open Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.
