Sheriff’s Office responds to fatal crash

COSHOCTON – On Oct. 8 at 1:35 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a motorcycle down next to the roadway on Coshocton County Road 16 and the rider was not around the bike. Officers responded to the scene and found the rider, Michael Cochran of Coshocton, unresponsive on the south side of the guardrail. Coshocton County EMS was called to the scene and transported Cochran to the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, but he was declared deceased from his injuries. Investigation revealed that Cochran was traveling east on Coshocton County Road 16 when he went off the right side of the road just past Morgan Run Road. He attempted to correct and get back on the roadway but lost control and struck the guardrail.

Assisting on the scene was Coshocton County EMS, the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office, and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This accident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
