PrimaryPhotoNEWCOMERSTOWN – William V. “Bill” Casey, 75 of Newcomerstown, died Tuesday, February 10,

2015 at Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia. He was born Sunday, March 19, 1939 in Coshocton to the late Dennis Madison and Esther ‘Senter’ Casey.

He was a 1957 Newcomerstown High School graduate and was a US Navy veteran serving from 1958 until 1960. He retired from AK-Steel of Coshocton in 2001, and previously was an auto mechanic for Chet Sharrock at the former Amoco service station in Newcomerstown. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown, Masonic Lodge # 202 Port Washington Lodge,Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Elks Lodge #1555 of Newcomerstown, American Legion Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431 of Newcomerstown. On Monday September 23, 1957 he married Barbara A. ‘Bordenkircher’ Casey who survives.

He is also survived by four daughters, Terrie (Gary) Baker of Coshocton, Jackie (Harry) Whiting of Niceville, FL., Angie (Danny) Welch of Newcomerstown and Danielle “Danie” Casey of Newcomerstown; eight grandchildren, Heather (Clay) Baker Utley, Randi (Warren) Welch Schilling, Kristopher (Desiree Clark) Welch, Paul William Welch, Sean Ian (Rachael) Baker, Kacy (Matthew) Whiting Barker, Harrison Hayes Whiting IV, Sandra Michelle Whiting; 11 great-grandchildren, Jillian Welch, Wesley Schilling, Kennedy Welch, Max Utley, Tucker Baker, Lydia Schilling, Griffin Utley, Ari Baker, Seely Welch, Vivian Schilling, Ethan Barker; one brother, Mike (Barbara) Casey of Fresno; one sister, Meriam Jo (Bob) Lower of Centerburg.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown with Rev. Bracken G. Foster officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with Masonic services at 7:45 PM at the Addy Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the Church. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Tusc.
