Coshocton Head Start has annual carnival

| May 9, 2013

030COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Head Start had their annual end-of-the-year carnival today, May 9, at the Fairgrounds. Pictured here is three-year-old Grayson Reed filling up an old pair of boots with dirt to plant flowers.

The event was a kick-off for the Head Start fundraiser to inform the community about their intent to renovate part of the Head Start building, located on County Road 16. A variety of educational stations were set up outside of the Commercial Building where children and their guardians could play and have fun. A Coshocton County EMS ambulance and a school bus were on hand for the children to tour, as well as a cruiser from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s office.

“We want to educate the community on the importance of head start in the lives of children and for the next generation,” said Carly Griffth, who is in charge of enrollment and parent activity at Head Start.
